REWIND A TAPE FAST  
  
What's the fastest way to rewind a tape without  
using "mt" or other tape software?  
  
From a bourne or korn shell, Just type:  
  
$ < /dev/[tapedevice]  
$ < /dev/rst8  
  
and watch it rewind...
