A Distinguished Engineer recruited to DEC is currently at Sun Microsystems, where he is one of the architects of the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE). He has been with Sun since 1982 and previously worked on the JavaMail API, the HotJava Views software product, the Common Desktop Environment, the Solaris Operating System, and all versions of SunOS software. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with an MS in Computer Engineering.
